Sophie Paturle-Guesnerot who co-founded Demeter, has a 26-year experience in Private Equity (Venture Capital, Growth Capital and Infrastructure) and was previously partner at SGPE (Société Générale Private Equity). She began her career as an auditor at PriceWaterhouseCoopers Paris, followed by the position of analyst at BTP Capital where she started her career in finance, before joining Crédit du Nord as an investment director.

Sophie currently serves as a Board member of IFP Energies Nouvelles (French Petroleum and New Energies Institute) and Chairman of the Audit committee. She is also a Board member of France Brevets and Maisons France Confort.

She is a former Board member of France Invest (French Private Equity Association); she founded AFIC avec Elles; she currently heads the Commission Climat (Climate Committee).

Sophie is a graduate in Corporate Finance from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. She also holds a Master’s in Economics and is a qualified Corporate Accountant.

She is a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
